A little Saturday hustle. A customers irrigation pump needed to be replaced from being in the elements. They wanted to keep it outside instead of in the garage so I came up with an alternative that turned out great! A water proof deck box fabricated to completely house the plumbing with interior framing to elevate and secure the pump & pressure tank and room to coil a garden hose. The deck box lid is sturdy enough to sit on so no worries about snow drifts. With the lid closed, there is absolutely no noise from the pump cycling disturbing neighbors. I will be adding foam insulation (on back order) to the pipes for added protection. People have so many things going on in life, something as simple as draining an irrigation pump before a freeze can completely slip the mind. I am confident this is a worry free fix that will last.
