Although the building exteriors are mostly brick, the doors, internal trim and walls are vibrant. From shades of greens, blues, reds. and yellows. The walls are loud. Everything we need to keep excitement during the winter months.

If you ever get a chance to walk around Boston, the Beacon Hill Books & Cafe is a must see.

We’ve been talking with homeowners about what’s trending for fall 2026 exteriors. The vibe is warm, grounded, and a little moody: colors that feel like they belong next to the maples instead of fighting them.

Here are a few we’re loving right now:

🎨 Sherwin-Williams Universal Khaki: a soft, sunbaked neutral for the body
🎨 Sherwin-Williams Urbane Bronze: deeper and more dramatic, if you want a statement
🎨 Benjamin Moore Narragansett Green: beautiful on shutters or a front door, plays off the evergreens once the leaves are gone
🎨 Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee or Alabaster: a warm cream trim that ties it all together

Pair any of these together and you’ve got a facade that photographs beautifully in October light and holds up long after the leaves fall.

Fall is our favorite season to paint. Cooler temps mean better cure times, less humidity means a cleaner finish, and there’s nothing like watching a house transform against a backdrop of red and gold trees.
