This kitchen remodel was completed for my Aunt and Uncle (their 110 year old home was formerly owned by my Great Grandfather).

There were 3 ceilings all dropped below each other each containing surprises of their own. The lowest of the drop ceilings was less than 7 feet high, making the room feel cramped and incredibly small. There were several layers of wall coverings just slapped on top of one another. I gutted the entire room down to its bones. Nothing was remotely close to square, plumb, or level when we started.

I tore out the wall dividing the dining area from the kitchen area to turn the room into one large space. I installed a sheetrock drop ceiling that I framed in to be at 97” height to accommodate the full size cabinetry we would be installing. I tore out the closet to accommodate a pantry cabinet measuring roughly 10 feet long. I insulated the entire space as there was no insulation in the walls to begin with.

The beautiful painted maple cabinets and trim that I installed were built by William H. Mann Custom Kitchens and Cabinetry in Easton, PA. The Countertops were installed by Prestige Marble and Granite in Emmaus, PA. There was a lot of planning and hard work that went into this, and it’s hard to believe the before pictures are of the same space as the after pictures! I’m really happy with how this one came out, and it was beyond rewarding to work on a home that has been in my family for over 60 years.

Hello again!

Here is a full bathroom renovation I recently completed. The homeowner had issues with the old bathroom floor and wall tile beginning to fail. We decided the best course of action was to tear it all out and start fresh.

All plumbing supplies and the vanity were sourced from East Lawn Supply Company in Nazareth, PA. All of the tile was sourced from Prestige Tile in Emmaus, PA.

The space now feels brighter and more functional with updated fixtures, lighting, tile, and paint.

I recently completed a basement renovation.

My client’s main goals were to improve the insulation and update the look from old paneling to new dry wall, while protecting the existing floor.

-Demo existing wood paneling down to the studs, remove existing R11 insulation

-Replace R11 insulation with R15 insulation

-Hang drywall

-Finish drywall

-Sand, prime, paint

-Install 23 dimmable LED recessed lights in new ceiling, with night light feature

-Install new windows on North facing wall of the home ordered to match existing newer windows on the South facing wall

-Install new extension jambs and window and door casings all the way around

-Install wood nosing on ledge around perimeter of room

-Install new base molding

-Install crown molding around the existing brick

-Paint all trim with Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel

-Protected existing flooring for the duration of entire job

Here are some before and after photos of a tub replacement I completed for a client.

-Demo and remove old whirlpool bath tub and wood paneling surround as well as the toilet and old plumbing fixtures

-Install new diverter adding a sprayer head feature

-Install new soaking tub

-Install tile surround with Schluter tile trims, grout and color match siliconized caulk

-Install matte black shower trim kit

-Build and install tops of half walls to customer’s preference and design

-Install base molding

-Prep and paint base molding and tops of half walls with high quality trim paint

-Install new one piece skirted toilet with bidet attachment

-Ensure no leaks

As my first year in business comes to a close, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for all of your support. Being able to work on your home improvement projects has been an exciting challenge, and your confidence in my skills has made my first year as a small business owner rewarding.

Some recent projects that I have completed include:

-Removed old cabinets and installed them in garage, installed new cabinets in kitchen to accommodate built in sub zero fridge

-Repaired a crack in a vaulted ceiling and painted using scaffolding

-Helped update a small bathroom in a budget friendly way

-Re-finished a back deck and restored front porch steps

-Updated front porch posts and railings, hung exterior lights and camera after new siding was installed

-Partially tore out existing deck and rebuilt to accommodate for their future paver patio install

-Repaired a bathroom ceiling and walls that were improperly prepped and painted originally and the finish was failing, scraped and sanded, primed then skim coated, primed again and painted, removed old electric heater and patched the tile floor into the existing floor, matched existing custom base molding and painted and installed, installed new exhaust fan, installed new vanity mirrors and lights(replacing one large mirror and light with two individual mirrors and lights)

-Insulated and hung drywall in a garage

-Installed new replacement basement windows that are insulated and draft free

-Removed old existing carpeting, laid new subfloor ¾ tongue and groove, laid high quality LVP flooring, installed trim

-Demoed existing backsplash, installed new two tone backsplash, installed a chandelier, ceiling fan and bathroom vanity light

-Pulled up existing flooring and subfloor under a washer and dryer where the pipes used to freeze, insulated underneath and around the pipes, reinstalled subfloor and new flooring and reinstalled the washer and dryer

-Repaired an antique lock (100 year old k**b would not turn fully either direction) on a front door

My client’s kitchen felt cramped due to the inefficient layout. The main goals were to fully utilize the space in a more effective way, to achieve an aesthetic that was able to flow with the existing brick wall, and preserve the charm of a 100+ year old home.

I focused my efforts on every facet of this project; assisting the homeowners with deciding on a new and functional layout, framing in a new ceiling and exhaust vent, hanging, finishing and painting new and existing sheetrock, building custom cabinets to match the old existing cabinets, finishing all cabinets to match, building an island out of solid maple, installing hardwood floors, installing beadboard and tile backsplash, building and installing custom shelving, etc.

This project required an immense amount of planning and hard work, but the before and after pictures make it all worth it.

KITCHEN RENOVATION

When my wife and I bought our house, it was in need of some serious TLC and before we even closed on the house we bought an entire kitchen worth of cabinets and countertops from Facebook Marketplace. Luckily, this impulse buy worked out in our favor.

I measured every single cabinet and engineered my own plans for the kitchen, which included cutting/reworking the granite countertops. We demoed the kitchen and installed the new (to us) cabinets.

Shoutout to the crew of friends and family that helped pick up and haul the cabinets and granite while I was at work and to my best friend Bryce and my step-dad Roger for contributing to this job greatly and helping me bring all of this to fruition.
