As if it had always been there, except it wasn’t, because somehow the previous owners never built a guardrail above the staircase. It’s now safe and turned out good looking too I thought.

I’ve had the opportunity to participate in the renovation of an 1800s home in Historic New Castle, DE. The structure has the years written all over it, with aged hardwood framing and offsquare corners throughout. It’s been a great learning experience. Some of the homes date back to the 1600s. A very special pocket that one must visit. New Castle was the first capital city of what would become the first state of Delaware. 🏠🕰️

🪚Hello everyone. I just completed this build-in closet. Located on a 3rd floor of a historic home, the master bedroom closet is build into an unusual niche created by the slope of the roofline. Every component including the shaker style doors and drawers was custom build in a “backyard shop” which complicated and slowed down the production. The final results are definitely worth the effort as it turned out great.

Greetings from New Castle, Delaware 👋. Just a quick glimpse into my recent project. One of the master bedroom walls had a reveal niche mirroring the roof line pitch, clearly calling for a built-in. I wanted to create a simple and functional design. Straight lines dominate, featuring accent round corner on top of the countertop. Made out of oak veneer finish grade premium plywood finished with Osmo poly-wax. Minimalist brass handles.

⚡️Just completed this walkway upgrade with crown molding and board and batten wainscoting. These kinds of finish details can completely transform a space and give it a clean, custom look. Love how this one turned out. 🪚🔨
