This project has been both a blessing and a nightmare. From missed deadlines to unexpected electrical and plumbing issues, it’s been one of the biggest learning experiences of my life as a new business owner. To subbing things out to fellow friends to try and get it wrapped up. Thank you to Jordan & Scotty yall have truly helped out a lot in this and I plan to use yall on many other projects. Even with the setbacks, this experience didn’t discourage me, it motivated me to do better, learn more, and move smarter. I’ve realized I can’t continue trying to manage every part of flooring on my own, especially when it’s hard finding people willing to work and take pride in the craft, mange the granite side of things, talk with homeowners, give estimates. Because of that, I’m shifting my focus more toward granite and cabinets, building a solid team there first, then eventually coming back and building a stronger flooring team the right way. Sometimes growth means narrowing your focus so you can build something sustainable instead of trying to carry everything yourself. Most of y’all already know the goal: General Contractor’s license by 2030. This journey is just part of the process. Every setback is a lesson, and every lesson is building me into a better businessman, leader, and contractor.
