🚨 HOMEOWNERS, PLEASE READ! HURRICANE SEASON REMINDER! 🚨

With everything going on, I know there are going to be plenty of people going door-to-door offering home repairs and services.

PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE HIRING ANYONE!

Make sure the company you’re hiring is properly LICENSED AND INSURED in your state for the work they’re performing. Don’t be afraid to ask for proof, check reviews, and get everything in writing before handing over your hard-earned money.

I understand that when your home needs repairs, the last thing you want to hear is that there’s a waiting list. But trust me, waiting for a reputable company that does things the right way is better than paying someone twice to fix a bad job.

I want to recommend a few businesses I personally trust!

PLUMBING & HVAC
Paradise Home Services

If you’re having plumbing or air conditioning issues, I highly recommend reaching out to Paradise Home Services!

ROOFING
Solid Roofing

I actually used to work with Solid Roofing as an Operations Manager, so I’ve seen firsthand how seriously they take their work. From making sure crews are operating legally to delivering quality workmanship, they’re a company I feel confident recommending for roofing needs in Florida and Alabama.

DUMPSTER RENTALS
Dumpster Works

Whether you’re cleaning up storm debris, remodeling your home, or just needing to get rid of unwanted junk, reach out to Dumpster Works! If you’re looking for a dumpster at an affordable price, they’re definitely worth checking out!

FLOORING, CABINETS & GRANITE
KnB Service Group, Inc.

Of course, if you’re needing flooring, kitchen cabinets, granite or quartz countertops, or repairs, my team and I would love the opportunity to earn your business! Mention this post for a 10% discount on labor

KnB Service Group, Inc. 850-961-4004

When reaching out to Paradise Home Services, Solid Roofing, or Dumpster Works, be sure to mention my name, Ethan Colley, and let them know I sent you!

At the end of the day, this isn’t just about getting business. It’s about looking out for our community, supporting good local businesses, and making sure homeowners aren’t taken advantage of during difficult times.

Stay safe, look out for your neighbors, and remember that the cheapest price isn’t always the best deal.
God bless everyone, and stay safe!

I've been meaning to update but that carpet job to LVP. We ended up us putting a new sink in, and doing the fire place. Quality work pays off.

Insurance Update: We’ve moved down the hallway and into two more bedrooms. At this point, we’re waiting once again for insurance to give the mold mitigation team the go-ahead to proceed throughout the rest of the house. What started as a simple $200 patch job has turned into something much bigger. It’s crazy how quickly a small repair can uncover a much larger problem. We’ll keep moving forward one step at a time and keep you updated along the way. 🛠️🏠

We are currently waiting to hear back from the homeowners regarding their insurance claim to see if coverage will help with the cost of the unexpected damages discovered during demolition.

During the inspection and removal process, we found:

* Two layers of existing flooring
* A layer of WonderBoard underneath
* Significant subfloor rot that will need to be addressed before new flooring can be installed

While these issues were hidden beneath the surface, identifying them now will ensure the home has a safe and solid foundation moving forward.

Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we document this transformation from damaged subfloor to a beautiful finished floor. We look forward to sharing the progress with you!
