❤️ IT PAYS TO BE KIND
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” — Ephesians 4:32
We live in a world where people are quick to criticize, quick to judge, and sometimes even quicker to tear one another down.
But as followers of Christ, we are called to be different.
Sometimes a smile can change someone’s day.
Sometimes a kind word can keep someone from giving up.
Sometimes buying a meal for someone who is hungry, helping a stranger, checking on a neighbor, forgiving someone who hurt you, or simply saying, “I’m praying for you” can make a greater impact than you will ever know.
You may never see the result of your kindness.
You may never know what someone was going through when you smiled at them.
You may never know how badly someone needed to hear the encouragement you gave them.
But God knows.
Jesus said:
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” — Acts 20:35
And kindness isn't about getting something back.
We don't show kindness because we expect applause.
We show kindness because Christ showed kindness to us.
Think about it...
We didn't earn God's grace.
We didn't deserve His mercy.
We couldn't pay for our salvation.
But Jesus gave it anyway.
He gave His life for people who didn't deserve it.
So when you have an opportunity to be kind—take it.
When you can help—help.
When you can forgive—forgive.
When you can encourage—encourage.
When you can give—give.
And when the world tells you to return evil for evil, remember what Jesus taught us:
Love your enemies. Pray for those who persecute you. Do good to those who mistreat you.
Because kindness isn't weakness.
Kindness is Christ living through you.
And here's the greatest reward:
You may not get anything from the person you were kind to...
but Heaven saw it.
God sees the sacrifice.
God sees the generosity.
God sees the helping hand.
God sees the tears you wiped.
God sees the person you encouraged.
God sees every act of kindness done in His name.
So today, be the reason somebody believes there is still good in this world.
You never know what someone is carrying.
You never know how close someone may be to breaking.
And you never know when one small act of kindness could point somebody toward Jesus.
🙏 PRAYER
Father, help us to be kind in a world that desperately needs Your love. Give us eyes to see people who are hurting and hearts willing to help. Let our words encourage instead of destroy, and let our actions point people toward You. Help us remember that every act of kindness done in Your name matters. In Jesus' name, Amen.
❤️ BE KIND. LOVE PEOPLE. SHOW CHRIST.
