Some trees are more than trees.

Recently, we helped remove a massive tree that had been part of a homeowner’s life for more than 30 years. While the removal was necessary, it wasn’t easy.

After the project, the homeowner shared these words with us:

“Everyone who saw it agreed that the wood was beautiful and valuable…my entire ecosystem is now forever changed. It is bittersweet and I am eternally grateful.”

She also called us afterward simply to say thank you again.

We don’t take that trust lightly.

Tree work is about much more than removing wood. Sometimes it’s about helping a family say goodbye to a piece of their home’s history safely and respectfully.

A quick update for everyone who has been following this story on WPXI and social media:

The stump removal was completed last week, allowing sewer line repair work to officially begin. Most importantly, the homeowner will finally have full access to essential utilities again 👏🏼

🌳 Portions of the tree will also be repurposed and put to good use right here in Pittsburgh — giving new life to something that created such a difficult situation.

💪🏼 We’re grateful our BeaverJack crew could assist alongside Tree Pittsburgh, hardworking utility crews, city workers, and organizations involved in making the area safe and moving restoration efforts forward.

🚍 Thank you to everyone for the patience during the road closure — safety for residents, crews, and travelers was the top priority throughout the operation.
