Four Square Design Studio is a small, Nashville-based architecture firm with over 35 years of experience in the planning, design, and documentation of custom homes, builder-spec & market homes, residential additions & renovations, and commercial projects of varying scope. Can you spot the addition? 🔍

What better way to manifest pool season than to highlight one of our recently-completed pool house / ADU designs?! The ultimate goal for this large addition, beyond adding fun & functional space for a young family, was 'seamless integration.' We feel this project effortlessly blends new with existing, giving everything a cohesive look & feel.

The new wing's main level serves as the ultimate pool house, featuring a large Flex Room with fireplace, kitchenette, and Pool Bath for easy, all-season indoor & outdoor living. Upstairs is a private Guest Suite with luxurious Bathroom & Walk-In Closet, along with a dedicated Exercise Room overlooking the pool & yard.

Welcome to the dreamiest, most perfectly-restored & expanded historic renovation 🤌🏻

This stunning late-1800's Folk Victorian "jewel box" was more than just a glow-up. We diligently worked to refresh the existing home's aesthetics, while simultaneously adding luxury amenities and improving daily livability. Over 1,500sf of thoughtfully-designed space was added, blending historic charm with modern living.

We will soon share MUCH more on this project, including highlights of our collaboration with the homeowner, contractor, interior designer, and Historic Commission!

A storybook cottage that truly has everything ✨ 4 luxurious en suite Bedrooms, large entertaining spaces, a Studio, large Kitchen / Prep Kitchen / Laundry, a Bonus/Theater Room you'd never want to leave, outdoor living, a pool, and a 3-car Garage. Subtle details from French-rooted, traditional New Orleans architecture truly set this home apart from and above its neighbors.

The cherry on this sundae is its location on a quiet street in beautiful Franklin, TN. Designing new homes near Franklin's historically-sensitive downtown can be challenging. But, with our guidance and the right team, challenges become opportunities and limitations become character & charm.

A little curb appeal "glow up" from this recent Forest Hills ✨

This project is SO much more than just another mid-century ranch home with white painted brick. A modest bumpout, a reimagined front entry, and of course the painted brick - these are a few of the small design elements that combine for big curb appeal and livability impacts.

Little would you know walking or riding by that we seamlessly blended 2,000+ square feet of additional space with the home's existing footage. More details to come on this!
