The Lewis Residence is one of Norris Architecture’s most interesting and unique projects. The Residence began as an addition onto an already existing house built in the 1990s.

Brad Norris notes that the kitchen and dinning rooms were completely redesigned and reoriented towards the new timber trusses in the family space. The trusses utilize custom brackets and steel plates.

In addition to the renovations, the pavilion in the backyard created an amazing outdoor space. The pavilion acts a structure connecting the pool space to the open yard.

Well hidden storage walls provide essential extra storage spaces for an active household. The new spaces throughout the property provided a new entry way and a transformation to the residency.

Overall, the Lewis Resience is a cohesive and well conntected space that fosters a high sense of connection and an extremely comfortable space for the whole family.

The Shys Hill Residence is one of Norris Architecture’s most well-liked modern styled projects of its portfolio. Originally built on a hillside on top of an older structure, it was initially designed to take advantage of all of the views of the landscape and surrounding area.

Brad Norris notes that this particular projects called for a lot of steel — from its stairs that called for off-site construction and then an in-site installment, to its large porch that supported a majority of the property.

In return, Mr. Brad Norris notes that this deep set porch gives the homeowners protection from the sun while the large windows gives a ton of natural sunlight. ☀️

The Killinger Residence is one of Norris Architecture’s most liked projects and residences of its portfolio. It is easily recognized by its Virginian-styled stone farmhouse appearance. The Killinger Residence features 6 bedrooms and an additional In-law Suite.

The combination of old and new gives this residency a unique old charm with new amenities. At 9,000 sf., the Killinger Residence features an array of spaces and uses, from its single elegant stairs in the main house to its beautiful and fully functioning kitchen. Brad Norris notes that the Stonemason who he had partnered with was some of the best masonry work he has ever worked with.

Welcome to the Hilltop Residence!

Brad Norris notes that this one of his first projects — newly built to this scale. It was a massive learning expereince — never worked with timber before — it took 5 years to fully build this project.

The Hilltop Residence is one of Brad Norris’ first projects that he underwent when he first became Owner of Norris Architecture. The Hilltop Residence first began as an estimated 12,000 sq ft property that ultimately nearly doubling to 30,000 sq ft property.

Brad Norris notes this particular project was notably difficult to achieve since the property lies directly on a hill top. The Hilltop Residence features a mixture of timber and stick-built wood that is well incorporated throughout the property.

The Trentham Residence features a contrast of open and private spaces. From the open floorpan of its living room to its private bedrooms built of large log walls.

Brad notes that inserting glass windows into large green tree trunks was a risky proposition since they want to shrink and twist as they dry. But through research and experimentation it was successfully done and is still in great shape 15 years later!
