: Way back when I was in a songwriting class at MTSU, we talked about how important it is to develop the skill of Editing in art. I’ve carried that same skill set into the design & construction world when trying to decide on paint colors. 🎨 😁
I can use various apps and AI tools for inspiration or visualization, but nothing seems to beat taking a bunch of samples home and moving them all around the space. Slowly eliminating and editing as I go, looking at each with all the colors in the space, day light, night light, seeing how they go together or don’t. This process takes some time, but it’s worth it as colors always look different in your actual space than on a screen or in a store. I work just as hard for my clients when selecting design choices and colors as I do for my own space, pulling from their preferences and ideas, trusting my intuition and abilities, and eventually creating beautiful spaces (and works of art) in the end. 😊 😍 Another reason to hire a GC with an eye for design and can do it all turnkey! 👷♀️
