Today, we had the privilege of sitting down with Scott Peterson to record a podcast and reflect on his incredible journey with T.W. Frierson.

After more than 28 years with our team, Scott is retiring next week. Throughout his career, he has been a mentor, a teammate, and a genuinely good man with a heart for others.

In true Scott fashion, he even pushed back his retirement so he could finish his career working on The Village at Church of the City, a project that holds a special place in his heart.

Scott, thank you for your dedication and the impact you've made on everyone around you over the years.

We set out to hit 2,400 training hours this fiscal year, and with 5 months still on the clock, we've already hit 90% of our goal.

Every project has uncertainty. Some of it hides in design intent. Some hides in constructability. Some hides between trades. Some hides in assumptions about access, sequence, material handling, or installation logic. Those uncertainties do not disappear when construction starts. They move downstream. And if they are not resolved early, they eventually show up in the field as questions.

That is where Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) changes the conversation. VDC is not just clash detection. It is not a model created so someone can say the project was “coordinated.” At its best, VDC is a decision-making environment. It gives the right people a place to see problems earlier, test solutions earlier, and make better decisions before those decisions become expensive in the field.

The value is not the model itself. The value is what the model allows the team to understand, decide, and prevent.

On Saturday, we had the privilege of welcoming back some of the most important people in our story, our retirees.

For our second retiree gathering of the year, over 40 people came together to share a meal, swap stories, and reminisce on the years that shaped who we are today.

We are the company we are because of the people who came before us. To every retiree and their families, thank you for the foundation you built. It's one we're proud to build on.
