We’ve been prototyping a 3 over 3 and 6 over 6 set of w**e box’s for a customer, and it looks like we just about have this 3x3 size box ready for production.

This mockup for hardware was a good start, but now that we have the box dimensions, we can search for the actual set of hardware and leather straps that will finish this one off….

The guys did a great job assembling the white oak island for our kitchen project….this piece is just about ready to exit...

Our new shop apprentice is doing well with his programming homework…

We gave him the task to design a jig which will hold a multi piece glue up of Mahogany in place on our CNC router, so it can carve 1.5” radius x 36” long cabinet corner for a face frame stile.

He and Vince took my old school table saw thoughts on how to build the jig, and came up with this fixture that will support the ends and middle once all 3 pieces are printed up…

Not only did our new guy nail the concept with his first design, but then he 3D printed the first of 3 required on his own…..home run..

Now I need to find time to glue up some rough stock so Vince can teach him how to setup the small Laguna CNC and start carving the 14 stiles I need for the Chris Craft project…

With the front exterior trimmed out, I was able to schedule the painting contractor in for a day to put the finishes on the siding package…

Now, I have to schedule some shop time to fabricate the white oak beam and column wraps and that will put and end the punch list on the front of the house…

Once the beam and column wraps are installed, we can make a final decision on front door and window trim color if they need to change…

Help wanted again……

It’s a good thing, when we have multiple CNC routers operating at the same time, but it means there will be a lot of assembly work to follow…

We’re in the early stages of training up another CNC operator to back up Vince which is going very well. We think we found a winner and future addition to our shop crew with this person.

Now, I can turn my attention to finding some assembly help in the wood-shop, because when have to split my time between the office and the shop, both sides of that equation fall short..

So, anyone with trim carpentry or custom cabinetry experience, will be just what we need to have a well balanced shop crew and keep me in the office where I belong.

Consideration will be given to part time, evening and or weekends on a trial basis, possibly leading to a full time position.
