I had so much fun reworking one of my smaller plans, The Holly, for a couple with young children! 🏡🤍

The original Holly is a simple, efficient 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom plan, but they needed a little more room for their family. We were able to take the original concept and turn it into a 1,573 sq. ft., 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a layout that works much better for this stage of life.

This is one of my favorite parts of drafting: taking a plan someone already loves and figuring out how to make it work specifically for their family and the way they live.

I was working on this garage/shop apartment concept for a client, and although we still need to make a few modifications, I really loved the direction it was going!

The apartment level is just over 1,100 conditioned sq. ft., and I think this could be such a practical setup for so many situations. Build the shop/garage first and live upstairs while you save or prepare to build your dream home, then later turn the apartment into a guest suite, game room, bunk house, or extra space for family.

Or, if you’re someone who would rather live a little smaller but still have a large, functional garage/shop, this could be a great permanent setup too!

We’re working on a new 2,626 sq. ft. home with a simple goal: keep the footprint straightforward so more of the budget can go toward beautiful finishes and fixtures. 🤎

✨ 3 bedrooms
✨ 2.5 bathrooms
✨ Media/play room
✨ Open kitchen + living
✨ Large pantry/utility space
✨ Simple, timeless rectangular footprint

Porches will be added later, but we’re loving where this one is headed!
