Wood By Hand got its start like many companies have,with an idea, a passion, and the motivation to create. I stumbled into woodworking when hurricane Rita cut my newly purchased house in half. Not able to find a contractor or repairman, the effort was left unto me. I purchased tools and completed the repairs not having a clue to what I was doing. From that event sparked something to create and wor

k with my hands. Since that time I have dedicated my efforts to creating my own works of art through wood. I have a deep seated passion to produce pieces that I would be proud of to call my own. Since Melinda and I have been together, she has begun to share my passion for woodwork and now she does a great deal of turnings on the lathe.
