What does your roof go through every October that you never see?
Fall in Oklahoma doesn’t ease in. One day it’s 85 and sunny, and the next morning there’s a cold front and a 40 degree drop. Add in gusty winds, a few leftover storms, and a yard full of leaves headed for your gutters, and your roof is working harder than it looks.
Here’s what’s actually happening up there. Those big temperature swings make your shingles and flashing expand and contract again and again. Over time, that movement can loosen a seal or lift an edge, and it’s easy to miss from the ground. Small things like that are simple to fix now and a bigger job later, once winter weather sets in.
After 30+ years of roofing homes across central Oklahoma, we’ve learned that fall is a great time to take a look. The weather is comfortable, the schedules are open, and you head into winter knowing your roof is ready for it.
