Giddy up! Preparations are underway for the 6th Annual BCS Safety Rodeo — December 11 at our Mustang Ridge office.

Eight hands-on stations, in-house experts and certified outside instructors, and a forklift operator competition to close the day. Our teams spend the day drilling the real skills that keep everyone safe on-site.

Huge thanks to our 2026 sponsors: Opifex, Parker Industrial, Tex Mix, Bosch Tools, Texas Materials, CMC, and Marsh McLennan Agency.

Six years and counting. See you there!

BCS Concrete Structures self-performs our finishing work across Central Texas with in-house crews led by General Superintendent Marcos Suaste. Three years OSHA-recordable-free, 100% OSHA-trained, and ahead of schedule on Dripping Springs HS #2 and Lake Travis HS #2 — that's the BCS in-house advantage.

Meet Jose — "Big Chepe" — our Shop Manager and one of the reasons our jobsites never miss a beat.

Jose joined BCS as a carpenter in January 2022 and was promoted to run the shop two years ago. His job? Make sure every tool, every material, and every delivery gets where it needs to be, when it needs to be there. Ask anyone at BCS, he does it with a smile.

When he's not at the shop, you'll find Jose at home with his wife Gloria and sons Diego and Mateo, out cutting grass, building something in the yard, or cheering on UT football and Real Madrid.

Thanks for everything you do, Big Chepe! 🧡

Big moment for BCS: our President Ben Horton was invited to the panel at the 2026 Texas Nuclear Summit in Houston last week because BCS built the world's fastest privately funded reactor of its kind, Oklo's Groves Isotope Test Reactor in Caldwell County.

Proud of our team for putting Central Texas on the map for advanced nuclear construction.

Big shoutout to the Tex Mix Concrete team!

Delivering to our Lake Travis High School #2 project in Spicewood isn't easy: remote site, tight schedules, no room for delays. But from dispatch to the drivers on-site, Tex Mix has shown up every single day with professionalism and quick thinking, and it's made all the difference in keeping this project moving.

Grateful to work alongside partners who care as much about the outcome as we do. This is how we build for the future of Central Texas schools.

Big congrats to our 3rd Quarter Best in Class Safety Award winners — David Amador Perer and Arnulfo Jaramillo!

Their leadership is a huge part of why BCS is now three years OSHA-recordable-free. Thanks to Superintendent Eric Izeta and Safety Coordinator Yamile Smith for building the kind of team where safety is everyone's job.

Way to go, David and Arnulfo!

Three years. Zero OSHA recordables. That's the milestone our BCS team just hit, and it's not by accident.

We've built a culture where every single person on-site is a safety professional. From new hires to superintendents, we all watch out for each other. It's what we call "see something, say something" and it's the reason our crews go home to their families every night.

To every BCS team member: this milestone is yours. Thank you for looking out for one another every single day.

Another great training day at BCS! Our field team just completed a full Rough Terrain Forklift and Skid Steer Operator Safety Training — classroom instruction, written exams, hands-on coaching, and an obstacle course that put every operator's skills to the test.

Big thanks to Mark Alvarez and Albert Casas from White Construction for sharing their expertise with our crew. Partnerships like this are how we all get better and safer together.

Safety knowledge is only powerful when it's shared. Today, BCS VP of Safety Todd Smith and Senior Project Manager Reed Boyd led a full safety training session for the White Construction Superintendent team in Austin, covering everything from OSHA recordables and injury management to how general contractors set the safety tone for every trade on-site.

Big thanks to the White Construction team for hosting a great discussion. Safer jobsites happen when everyone commits, and this is what that looks like.
