🚨 Chimney Rebuild Update 🚨

What looked like a standard chimney rebuild turned into something much bigger once we opened it up.

As you can see from the photos, the entire chimney chase was severely rotted from the inside out. Years of water intrusion had destroyed the framing, sheathing, and structural components hidden behind the brick veneer. The exterior brick looked decent from the ground, but the damage underneath told a completely different story.

Our crew is currently:
✅ Removing all compromised materials
✅ Reframing the chimney structure
✅ Installing new plywood sheathing
✅ Waterproofing the chase properly
✅ Preparing for a brand-new brick veneer installation

This is a great reminder that what you see on the outside isn’t always the full story. Taking shortcuts on repairs can leave major structural issues hidden for years.
