Great review from carlos... "I do not write reviews much but I really wanted to say something about DHI Builds.
I had them out to my place in Murrieta for some work that started as a small project and then kind of grew once I saw how they handled things.
At first it was just one area that needed help and I was honestly nervous because dealing with contractors in the past has been a headache for me.
From the first visit Donovan walked the space and actually listened to what I was trying to do instead of rushing me.
He explained the plan in normal words so I could follow along.
The quote matched what we talked about and there were no weird surprises later, which I really appreciated.
When the crew showed up they were on time and they all looked put together and professional, not like some random people who just rolled in.
Everyone who came into my home treated it with respect and that stood out a lot.
They laid things down to protect the floors and they picked up at the end of the day so I was not tripping over stuff.
I work from home so I was around while they were doing most of the work.
The guys were friendly but not distracting and they just got on with it.
Any time I had a question they stopped for a moment and answered without making me feel dumb.
One thing I liked was how clear the communication was from start to finish.
If there was a small change in schedule I heard about it ahead of time instead of finding out last minute.
There was always someone checking in, either Donovan or one of the team, just making sure I knew what was going on next.
On my project they handled a mix of things that would normally mean dealing with different trades.
They fixed some framing issues, handled drywall, and then took care of finish details without trying to push me into a bunch of extras.
When we got to the design details they were actually helpful.
They did not force their ideas on me but they also did not just shrug and leave me confused.
They gave a couple of options that made sense for the space and for my budget.
I ended up going with their suggestion on a few things and I am glad I did.
The finished work looks really clean and solid.
Lines are straight, doors open and close the way they should, and the new surfaces feel like they belong in the house and not like a patch job.
There is a part of my living area that used to bug me every day and now it is the part I notice first in a good way when I walk in.
Friends and family have already commented on how much better the room looks, even people who did not know I had anything done.
Another thing that impressed me was how safe I felt with the crew in the house.
I had days where it was just me at home and I never felt uncomfortable, which has not always been the case with other companies in the past.
They were very respectful, kept language clean, and paid attention to my dog and made sure gates were closed so he did not get out.
When I asked for a couple small tweaks near the end they handled them without an attitude and without dragging the job on forever.
They walked through everything with me at the end to make sure I was happy before they packed up.
The final price lined up with what we talked about and the quality of the work honestly made it feel worth it.
Looking at the room now it feels like something I would see in photos online, but it still fits the rest of my house and my style.
Overall my experience with DHI Builds was very positive and way less stressful than I expected.
For me the big things were clear communication, a crew I felt comfortable having in my home, and a finished project that looks and feels solid.
Based on what they did at my place I would tell friends and neighbors that this is a contractor they can trust for remodeling work in Murrieta."
