Sewer lateral and main water line replacements are expensive propositions that a typical Homeowner's Insurance Policy doesn't cover and when something goes wrong, there is, often, not much choice. Many utility companies have been sending out recommendations to add a Service Line Policy to your insurance portfolio. We strongly suggest it as well, especially if your home was built prior to 1980 and even for more recently built homes.
