Builders ask us for the Windsor more than any other mantel we make right now.

Part of it’s the scale: big enough to anchor the room, not so big it fights with everything around it.

Mostly it’s that it doesn’t pigeonhole a project. The same mantel style works in both a modern farmhouse and a French country build. That kind of flexibility is rare in a fireplace design.

If you’ve got a client who’s still deciding on direction, the Windsor is a great answer.

Full specs are on the site if you want to drop it into a proposal this week.

Five mantels, five completely different homes — and every single one started with the same first question: how do you want this room to feel walking in?

That's the part builders tell us before we ever sketch a single line.

Parade of Homes always pushes us the most, because five builders means five totally different visions for the same centerpiece moment.

Which one's yours — 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5?

Drop your number below, and if you're building right now, tag your builder so we can see which one they'd choose.

The gap between a sketch and a stock catalog is where most builds lose the vision.

We don't interpret drawings. We replicate them — surround depth, shelf height, every line the designer actually spec'd, carried straight into the mold.

This one went from paper to precast stone with nothing lost in translation.

Tag the designer or builder whose sketch deserves this.

A cozy fall mantel doesn't have to cost a fortune 🍂

Garland, a few leaves, and a little fluffing is all it took to go from bare to beautiful. Save this for when you're ready to decorate yours!

The mold sits in the shop for days before anyone touches it.

Then someone comes in and hand-finishes every curve, checking it against the original design over and over.

No shortcuts on the parts nobody photographs.

By the time it ships, it's already been through more hands than most people realize.

That's the part that makes it a centerpiece instead of just a mantel.

Buyers don't remember floor plans.

They remember the room that made them stop scrolling on the listing and book the showing.

A bare wall doesn't read as savings.

It reads as unfinished.

Tag the builder on your current project before the walkthrough happens without one.

The part everyone skips is the padding room, hours before the truck even loads.

Every mantel gets wrapped like it's the only one we'll ever make — a piece that took weeks to cast doesn't get a second chance on install day.

Corners are the whole game. Miss one angle against the firebox and you're recasting from scratch.

No pressure, right?

This is the side of custom stonework nobody puts on the website. Just the crew, the sync, and one shot at getting it right.

Full install clips live here every week.

Marble, limestone, or precast — three questions settle it.

First, how much carving do you want? Solid stone charges by the hour of hand-work, and ornament gets expensive quickly. Precast casts the same profile from a mold, which makes it the best detail-per-dollar of the three.

Second, is it durable? Limestone is soft and porous and will stain, chip, and patina. Marble etches, so go honed rather than polished. Precast is sealed and repairable, and handles daily life without much thought.

Third, should it lead the room or support it? Marble leads. Limestone softens. Precast does either, with integral color and texture — no paint needed.

One practical footnote: if it's an upper floor, weight and section size are worth confirming with your installer early. Solid marble mantels are genuinely heavy, while precast is lightweight and straightforward to install

This week's mantel our clients keep asking for by name

Comment "Bradford" and we'll send the full spec sheets — sizes for most 36, 42, and 48 inch inserts.

It's the mantel our clients ask for by name.

Usually the more custom a mantel looks, the pickier it gets about where it can go. This one doesn't play by that rule — living room, home office, bedroom, covered patio, it just works.

If you've got a space that needs an anchor and you're not sure what to spec yet, start here.

Every builder swears the layout will carry the room.

Then the fireplace wall sits there bare and flat, and nobody wants to say it's the problem.

Not the paint. Not the furniture plan. The empty opening where the centerpiece should be.

A hand-sculpted mantel changes what the eye does when it walks in — the wall stops being background and becomes the reason for the room.

Staring at a bare wall on your current build? Save this and send it to your builder before the drywall stage passes you by.
