Instant upgrade! ✨🪵
We really love the contrast this brought to the space. Leaving the existing cabinets in place and putting in a solid butcher block countertop completely warms up a kitchen and lets that natural grain take center stage.
Such a simple swap, but it totally changes the room. What do you think of how this turned out? 🏡💪

This office upgrade actually started with the desktop! We built a custom rift-sawn white oak desktop for our client earlier this summer, and we were recently called back to their home to install the custom solid poplar French doors we finished up last week. 🪵✨
For this project, they came to us with three specific needs: more legroom, more desktop space, and privacy paired with noise reduction from those solid wood doors. We built the desktop out of gorgeous rift-sawn white oak to fit seamlessly right between the tall white storage towers, creating a clean, continuous work surface right under the window for great natural light. 🪟☀️
Now they have all the open space they need underneath, plenty of room to spread out on top, and a quiet, private workspace when those doors are closed! 🙌💻🚪
What do you think of this setup? 👇

We just wrapped up this stunning set of custom French doors, and we are so proud of how they turned out! 🚪✨
Every custom project starts with a conversation. We worked closely with our clients to dial in the exact design they were envisioning for their home. Once the details were locked in, we brought the plans back to our shop to build the doors completely from scratch 🪚🔨.
From there, we applied a clean, durable painted finish 🎨 and handled the final installation to ensure everything fit and functioned perfectly 📐🔧.
Building things by hand gives us total control over the quality, and seeing a piece go from a simple concept to a finished centerpiece in a home never gets old 🏡💪.

We’re making great progress on this kitchen transformation with a complete custom upgrade. 🔨

We’re installing a combination of custom cabinetry, oversized island storage, built-in pantry space, specialty drawers, and architectural trim details designed specifically around this home. The layout is really taking shape. 📐

This is more than just an installation — it's a kitchen built to work better and feel right at home. 🏡

Behind the scenes in the shop. We've got the stiles and rails dry fit on the squaring table with tight cope-and-stick joinery, and we're currently waiting on the custom glass to arrive. In the meantime, we'll be moving right along into priming and painting.

🍽️✨ Maximizing space and style, one custom build at a time! ✨🛋️

We recently finished up this gorgeous custom banquette designed specifically to fit this room like a glove. Not only does it make the space feel cozy and complete, but it also adds some great everyday functionality:

🗄️ Smart Storage: The seating area features a lift-up seat equipped with smooth soft-close hardware, plus a full-extension drawer built right into the end for easy access to everyday items—all while keeping that clean, seamless look completely intact.

From the initial layout and precise dimensions down to the final finish details, everything was hand-crafted to blend right in and elevate the room's everyday use.

🔥 Deck Restoration Complete! 🔥

It’s been a busy summer & I’m just getting around to posting this one we finished back in July.

If you’ve been following along with this project, you’ve seen where we started and the work it took to bring this outdoor space back to life. Swipe to see the full transformation!

Here is everything we tackled on this one:

☑️ Replaced and updated damaged rails and balusters
☑️ Installed new, sturdy handrails
☑️ Replaced the stair treads for safety and a clean look
☑️ Painted the existing lattice for a crisp finish

Doing it right means doing it once. We monitor the moisture content of the new pressure-treated wood, waiting until it drops down to at least 15% before application. Paired with a high-end professional-grade finish, that patience is what prevents peeling, locks in protection, and gives you a rich, lasting result.

Really proud of how this turned out for the client. Ready to upgrade your outdoor living space before fall? Give TJS Designs a call!
