Today we want to take a moment to recognize all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures in our community.

Being a dad isn’t about being perfect. It’s about showing up every day, working hard, making sacrifices, and doing everything possible to provide for your family.

As a family-owned business, we understand the long days, early mornings, and late nights that come with supporting the people who depend on you.

A rock just cost me money today.

One second everything was fine. The next second, a mower blade caught a rock and sent it straight through a customer’s window.

Accidents happen in lawn care.

Anybody who tells you they’ve never broken anything either hasn’t been in business long enough or isn’t being honest.

The difference is what happens after the accident.

We didn’t hide it. We didn’t make excuses. We didn’t disappear.

We notified the homeowner immediately and started the process of making it right.

That’s exactly why Drake & Sons Lawn Management carries active liability insurance.

Because when mistakes happen, our customers shouldn’t be left paying for them.

So here’s a question…

Does the person cutting your grass have insurance?

A lot of guys can mow a lawn. A lot fewer can protect you when something goes wrong.

If you’re looking for a professional, insured lawn care company that stands behind its work, send us a message for a free quote.

Some days test you.

This morning started with a bang, literally. Our truck’s brake rotor exploded, putting us in the shop from 8 AM until 2 PM. For a lot of companies, that might have meant calling it a day.

Not us.

With no truck, no trailer, and every reason to throw in the towel, we found a way. By 5 PM, we had completed 5 scheduled yards plus an overgrown last-minute call-in job.

At Drake & Sons, we believe our customers deserve dependable service no matter what obstacles get thrown our way. Equipment breaks. Things happen. But excuses don’t cut grass.

When you hire Drake & Sons, you’re hiring a company that shows up, works hard, and gets the job done with quality, precision, and pride, no matter the circumstances.

The truck may have been down, but Drake & Sons never stopped.

A clean property starts with the details.

This week we took care of one of our weekly clients by mowing the lawn and cleaning up a ditch line that had become overgrown. A lot of companies focus on the easy part—the open grass—but it's the edges, ditches, fence lines, and hard-to-reach areas that really make a property stand out.

Swipe to see the before and after.

Consistent maintenance makes all the difference, and we're grateful to have customers who trust us week after week to keep their properties looking their best.

Today I helped out one of my neighbors.

His yard had gotten away from him after about 3 weeks of growth. He had been out there for over 2.5 hours trying to push mow it himself and barely made a dent. He was frustrated and just needed a hand.

He called around for quotes and was getting prices of $70, $75, and even $115 for a one-time cut.

I wasn't looking to make money off a neighbor who was in a bind. I was looking to help.

For $50, I got the yard knocked out in about 30 minutes and gave him a fresh start so he could get back to maintaining it himself.

Most companies wouldn't do that, and that's okay—we're not most companies.

At Drake & Sons, we're not here to rip, pry, or take advantage of someone's situation. We're here to help people, serve our community, and do honest work at a fair price.

The grass gets cut, the customer gets helped, and everyone wins. That's how we do business.
