Our Story
We have been in the agriculture business for as far back as our families history tells, M&M Agricultural, LLC was founded in 2014 by Michael Katz and Matthew Katz, father and son. We were led by
our patriarch’s, Dean and Marilyn Katz who have been selling fertilizer to the local farm community since the 80’s. Dean started farming as a very young man on his fathers farm in Munith, MI. At the age of 19, his father passed away after complications during a back surgery. That left Dean with the farm, a mother, and sister to take care of. Dean turned a few cattle and a rough 40 acres in a struggling farm economy, into a 150+ dairy operation and farming 1000+ acres. Their story of hard work, faith, and dedication has been a journey few would dare to make a success. Having sold the dairy cattle back in 2006 due to a poor market and rising costs, they put more focus into row crop farming and fertilizer sales. Unfortunately we lost Dean in 2019, as he passed away peacefully in his home at the farm in Munith. Mike his son, and Matt his grandson, took over the fertilizer distribution and farming operations in 2014. They continue to carry on his legacy. Mike has been a key role in the farming operation and trucking his entire life, helping us grow to what we are. Matt has grown up learning from the very best since he could reach the pedals, his dad and grandpa. Running all the equipment with precision, taking part in the business management, and farming operations.
