I was hoping for a good soaking rain today to give one last boost before our first frost and officially closing out the season. Doesn't look like that's happening anytime soon. In the meantime, I'll let the pollinators do their thing the next few weeks and harvest whatever blooms I can.

Ill have what I can in flowers over the next few weeks but the unrelenting heat and lack of cool nights has made things slightly disappointing. But ill be gearing up for all things pottery just in time for Christmas shopping. 💚

In August, we got a whopping 0.25 of an inch of rain. I really hope this heat breaks soon, and we get some actual rain cause I dont want to crawl in a hole again while opening the water bill.

But here's a pretty dahlia I picked tonight! They've been slow to really put on blooms because of the intense heat. Heres hoping ill get a few good weeks out of them before our first frost.
