This week in Hillsborough, CA, our team responded to a call about kittens trapped inside storm drain pipes. Jeremy immediately stepped in and got to work helping with the rescue.

Through hard work, patience, and determination, he was able to safely free the kittens and bring them to safety. We’re incredibly proud to have team members who go above and beyond, not only for our customers, but for the community as well.

Harrison, one of our Indianapolis branch techs, was dispatched to a home where a cat was stuck in the wall. He quickly assessed the situation and pinpointed the cat’s location, then called in Greg to bring his camera and help confirm exactly where the animal was. They discovered the cat trapped in the drywall behind the dishwasher.

With patience and extreme care, Harrison and Greg carefully opened removed the drywall in a controlled way, prioritizing the cat’s safety at every step. The cat was safely rescued and the homeowner was relieved. 🐱💙

This November, Roto-Rooter of Muncie donated a percentage of every job completed to support the important work of Blood-N-Fire Muncie Food Pantry. Thanks to our customers and dedicated team, the month-long giving program resulted in a $3,140 donation to help serve local families and individuals in need.

🐈 Heartwarming news alert! Two local Anderson/Muncie area Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service Technicians, Darrick Myers and Dallas Gates, are being hailed as heroes for rescuing a cat named Princeton who was stuck in a crawl space for two days.

The owners had tried everything to lure the cat out but nothing worked. They called Roto-Rooter for help and the technicians quickly got to work. After a thorough search, they were able to locate Princeton and with patience and quick thinking, they were able to coax the scared cat out of the crawl space towards Michael, the overjoyed owner.

This "lucky" rescue mission took place on the eve of St. Patrick's Day and the owners were so grateful that they left a glowing Google review, calling the technicians heroes to their children.

Roto-Rooter is known for providing exceptional service to their customers and this rescue is just one example of their commitment to going the extra mile. With the tools and knowledge of homes' tight spaces, the company provides pet rescue services at no charge.

We're grateful for our team members, Darrick Myers and Dallas Gates, who are willing to go above and beyond to help those in need, especially a furry little friend stuck in a crawl space. ❤️🐾

Water Restoration Technician Laborer needed out of our Muncie location. Looking for someone that is able to help out with clean-up of water damaged properties. Able to drive and lift equipment up to 100 lbs., work with varies cleaning products. Can involve going up and down stairs and use of a ladder. Working around customers and making the property clean and safe. A good driving record is needed, able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Excavator Laborer Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable worker to join our growing company. In this position, you will be responsible for participating in a variety of excavation projects. You will use a wide range of tools and equipment, and will have to work outdoors in a mixture of weather conditions.

Worker Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare at the work site each day by preparing materials, tools, and equipment.
Complete previous projects or receive new project instructions from manager
Follow instructions and use tools and equipment to complete daily tasks
Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment.
Ensure regulated and proper headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing are worn.
Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Prepare new sites by digging, moving dirt, or compacting space as needed
Provide assistance to contractors (i.e. craft workers, electricians, painters) as needed.
Train on experienced tasks and learn new tasks from coworkers.
Clean and clear debris
Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly

Worker Requirements and Qualifications:
Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 80 pounds
Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
Pre-employment drug screening and background investigation is a part of our hiring
Valid drivers license with Good driving record that meets insurance requirements.
