Attention Oconto County property owners. Oconto County's has a new ordinance proposal that aims to limit garage size potentially eliminating the construction of barndominiums and homes with large garages. The proposal restricts the size of an attached garage to not be larger than the dwelling area. It also will change the definition of living space to above ground space only. This is over reach of government in my opinion. Oconto County already restricts roof pitches and exterior colors in certain situations. Frank Lloyd Wright wouldn’t be allowed to build a large majority of his creative designs in our county. If you disagree with Oconto County please email or send a letter by May 13 or attend the meetinh on the 13th.
