Mark Zuckerberg just posted about AI assistants and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve been advocating for AI assistants in schools since my creation of Spiral, the Study Buddy Assistant, in 2013, but the idea didn’t catch on as quickly as I had hoped. However, with Zuckerberg’s endorsement today, I believe that AI assistants for all age groups will finally make a big splash. It’s great to see someone as influential as Zuckerberg talking about it now, validating what I knew was important 11 years ago. Don’t get left behind - educate yourself on AI now.

I applaud this initiative. Every state should implement financial literacy education. I have a few questions, though.

First, I'd like to thank Linda Bernard and Rec N Park for giving me the opportunity to teach this cohort over the last four years. Thanks to the excellent training programs I've encountered, we've had great results teaching this class. It's just interesting how California is just now having this conversation.

Today, I've expanded my financial literacy class to include artificial intelligence literacy as well.

However, I'm puzzled by some of the decisions being made:
- Why are they waiting until 2028 to offer the course?
- Why is the course only a semester long? My class spans the entire school year.
- Why are they waiting until 2031 to make it a graduation requirement?

The semester-long course would need to be offered by the 2027-28 school year and a requirement to graduate starting with the 2030-31 class.

Our journey started because artificial intelligence is moving faster and teachers can teach it. So we started the Make School Cool Again Campaign. First-week results.
