🔥 This is what a community looks like. 🔥

On May 26th, wildfire swept through our community, leaving behind scorched ground, destroyed fences, and a lot of uncertainty. Among those affected was a fellow veteran whose property—and livestock fencing—had been devastated.

Instead of asking, “Who’s going to fix it?” our community asked, “When do we start?”

Volunteers showed up with shovels, tractors, side-by-sides, excavators, gloves, sweat, and servant hearts. Families, neighbors, veterans, and complete strangers stood shoulder to shoulder under the Idaho sun, digging out burned railroad ties, setting new posts, stretching fence, hauling concrete, and rebuilding what the fire tried to take away.

There wasn’t a paycheck waiting.
There wasn’t any recognition being sought.

Just good people helping good people.

As the owner of Highmark Fence & Tractor Service, I couldn’t be more humbled to be a small part of a day like this. We build fences every day—but this wasn’t about fencing. It was about service, sacrifice, and community.

Watching dozens of people come together reminded me that even after disaster, hope is stronger than ashes.

To every volunteer, every business that donated equipment or materials, every person who brought water, food, or simply showed up to work—thank you. You made a lasting difference for a veteran who needed it.

This is Idaho.

This is what neighbors do.

This is what America is supposed to look like.

🇺🇸 MOUNTAIN HOME, I NEED YOUR HELP.

On May 26, a significant portion of a local retired veteran’s property was affected by the fire. While the flames are gone, the work of rebuilding is just beginning.

One of the hardest-hit areas was her horse fencing. We’re working to replace burned railroad tie posts and restore the fence so her horses can remain safe and secure on the property.

The good news? Local businesses have already stepped up and donated materials.

Now it’s our turn.

I’m looking for a handful of volunteers willing to donate a few hours of their time to help a neighbor get back on her feet. No politics. No organizations. No fundraising campaign. Just good people coming together to do the right thing.

You don’t need fencing experience.
You don’t need special tools.
You just need a willingness to work.

This community has always taken care of its own. When someone needs help, Mountain Home shows up.

💪🏼 THIS is Mountain Home

ONE TOWN. ONE TEAM. ♥️

This community has been knocked down, but we are NOT a community that stays down.

The recent fire devastated families, destroyed homes, and changed lives in a matter of moments. If there’s one thing we know about this town, it’s how we show up for each other.

This Sunday, May 31st, Brie’sta Coffee will be hosting a fundraising event at all Brie’sta Coffee locations. Additionally, we will be donating 10% of sales to help support those impacted by the fire. All donations will be given to our community burnout fund.

Let’s rally together the way this town always does. 🧡
