You can check your wheatgrass by pulling it up so the root system can be inspected. If your roots have turned brown, you could have root rot. Once root rot sets in, you will likely loose the tray. The solution is to keep your trays indoors, away from hot spots and direct sunlight like windows. Keep in the shade and away from heater vents.
