Thunder on the Mountain Car Show N Shine takes over Shastice Park tomorrow, Saturday, September 6. Gates open before 9am, with a community breakfast running from 7 to 10am, plates are $12 and every one helps support the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta.

Hundreds of cars and motorcycles, live music, a beer garden, food, raffles, and awards for Best in Show, Best Custom, Best Hot Rod, Best Motorcycle, and plenty more. It's free to attend, and this event alone has raised tens of thousands of dollars for local youth programs in just two years.

If you're headed out, take a look at the site map above so you know where to find parking, the beer tent, kids activities, and the quieter zones if you're bringing little ones.

A little extra planning can make Thunder on the Mountain even better. Here’s our 2026 Site + Sound Map so you can get a feel for where everything will be tomorrow at Shastice Park!

🚨 PRE-REGISTERED? CHECK YOUR EMAIL!
A full Thunder on the Mountain FAQ email just went out with check-in details, event schedule, parking information, awards, raffles, directions and everything else you’ll want to know before tomorrow.

This map will also help you find show vehicle parking, registration, kids activities, food, the beer tent, guest parking, truck & trailer parking, restrooms and our winners staging area.

We’ve also marked our sound zones. Want to be close to the music and action? Head toward the red. Prefer things a little quieter? Yellow and green will be your best bet.

⚡️ Thunder on the Mountain is TOMORROW! We can’t wait to see Shastice Park full of cars, families, music and our community.

Site layout is subject to change as we finish setting up.

Get ready. The Mount Shasta Blackberry Music Festival is back, and this is the 38th year running. If you ask around town, plenty of people will tell you this is the single best day of the year here.

Sunday, September 6, noon to 6pm, Shastice Park. The Rotary Club of Mt Shasta puts this whole thing together, and it shows. Live music all afternoon from Whiskey Gulch, The Brothers Reed, and The Victor Martin Project closing it out. Free games for the kids from 1 to 5:30. And the pies. Rotarians and volunteers hand bake more than 400 blackberry pies the day before, sold only at the event, and they go fast.

There's also a limited run of souvenir mugs at the Rotary Info booth this year, so get there early if you want one.

Heads up, it's shaping up to be a busy weekend around Mount Shasta. There's another huge community event happening Saturday too. More on that tomorrow.

Big news on the electrical side! Craig just joined our team as a journeyman electrician, and we couldn't be happier to have him.

More experience, more hands, more hours on the schedule. If you've been putting off a project or sitting on a list of small fixes, now's a great time to call.

Speaking of lists. Most homes have four or five little electrical things nobody ever gets around to. A switch that doesn't do anything. An outlet that's dead. A fixture that's been flickering since spring. None of them urgent enough to call about on their own, so they just sit there.

Write yours down. Call us once and we'll knock out the whole list in one visit instead of five separate ones.

Welcome to the team, Craig! Call 530-918-5547 to get on the schedule.

Electrical safety tip for the start of heating season.

Baseboard and Cadet heaters need cleaning just like the rest of your system. Dust, pet hair, and debris pack in behind the grilles over the summer and create a fire hazard once things heat up. A professional cleaning and inspection clears it out and keeps everything running the way it should.

We are happy to take a look. Just reach out to get scheduled.

Tomorrow is September 1, and the weather got the memo.

We're looking at several days of rain and cooler temperatures before things warm back up next week. It won't last, but it's a good reminder. Winter isn't far off.

Now's the time to get your heating system checked before you actually need it. Have your furnace serviced, get your kerosene heater ready, and take care of it while you have the time to plan instead of scrambling on the first cold night.

If your system has been struggling or you've been putting off replacing an old one, this is a good stretch to talk about a new HVAC install too. Better to plan it now than decide in the middle of a cold snap.

Call 530-918-5547 and we'll get you on the schedule.

Last Community Day of the summer at the Ski Park is this Saturday, August 29. Live music on the patio, yard games, disc golf, chairlift rides, and lunch at the top of Douglas!

Get up there while it is warm, because winter is looking loud. NOAA is calling for a very strong El Niño, possibly the strongest one on record. The mountain could absolutely load up.

Sunshine Saturday. Powder in a few months. Pretty good year to live here!

ComTec has been on social media about a month and they're already posting Zoolander edits. The rest of us are still figuring out captions. 😅

That's a container of Toyotomi heaters landing in Mount Shasta, straight off a ship from Japan. Kerosene, quiet, efficient, built to run all winter.

They go fast once the first cold night hits. Call us now and we'll have yours in before you need it.

Saturday we took the whole company out to Lake Siskiyou. Employees, spouses, kids, all of it. We grilled, we swam, we played games, and the weather could not have been better.

Our team works hard all year. Days like this remind us why we do what we do. Thank you to every one of you and to your families for putting up with the early mornings and long jobs. We're lucky to have you!

We're proud to be the sound sponsor for the last show of the summer, and for our local boys The Sundown Poachers no less. It means a lot to give back to this community, and the people pictured here do so much to make nights like this happen. Events that bring everyone together are a blessing. See you next summer.
