Big things happening for us! This summer, we are building a home (for someone else)! We have partnered with Amwood Homes, Inc. for the first time, and we couldn't be more excited. This home is in the Barndominium style, but we'll be building it as traditional stick framing. Using Amwood panelized construction, the components for this home will be built in Madison, WI and shipped down to be assembled on-site. We can't wait to share more of the process.

Might be having some of the most fun I've had doing this job in a long time! The Design work itself has always been rewarding, but my ability to render projects has never been stronger. This Modern Barndominium was a lot of fun to draw, but these color images really bring it home!

For as much as I DON'T want a data center consuming my local resources, I am LOVING all the AI features I have access to in my field. The below images are for a client marketing a medical clinic. I really don't have more than a couple hours in ALL of the work I did on these. You can whip up a few images in 20 minutes.

My workflow on these:
1. Real photographs taken in person.
2. Upload images to ChatGPT Plus (I'm paying $20 for one month))
3. Play with Prompts. Make multiple revisions. Generally use ChatGPT recommendations.
4. Take photos into Photoshop for some light cleanup (Mostly signage)
5. Take photos BACK into ChatGPT for resizing and upscaling for printing and presentation.

I'm bothered by how easy this was and what it means for the future, but you absolutely canNOT beat the results.

The transformation of County Line Designs’ new home is more than remarkable; it’s an example of architectural designer Jeremy Nesemeier’s talents. After starting his own design business in 2020, Jeremy noticed the potential of a nearby building, previously home to accountant Paul Smith. During the planning and reconstruction, Jeremy partnered with the Mt. Morris Economic Development Corporate (EDC), to obtain grant funding and a loan that helped covered the necessary repairs.

With sleek, simple lines, a new black roof, fresh white exterior and lots of windows, the building is now home to Jeremy’s business, County Line Design, and CGL County line Golf Lodge, a golf and sports simulator. Visitors are invited to drop by and see the building’s transformation.
