Here is one we hear a lot: why does the outlet in my bathroom or kitchen keep tripping? Those outlets have the little TEST and RESET buttons, and their whole job is protecting you from shock where water is around. If it trips now and then, it is usually doing its job: moisture in the box, a tired old appliance, or worn wiring downstream leaking a tiny bit of current. Last week a Mt. Juliet homeowner called us about her kitchen lights dimming every time the microwave ran. It had been going on for months, and she had gotten used to it. Our tech found a loose connection on that circuit, starving it of full power. Small fix, but loose connections do not stay small.
