What would you change in a 100-year-old hunting cabin that would entice other family members to visit and stay?
Over 100 years of history. One incredible transformation. When the owner of this early 1900s hunting cabin in Linden, TN came to us, they had one request — bring it back to life. Challenge accepted.
We started by gutting the cabin all the way down to the original logs. We restored and refinished the logs throughout, then drywalled the interior to give the space a clean, updated feel while keeping the rustic charm of the structure intact. To ensure the cabin remains sturdy for years to come, we added new piers and beams underneath.
Inside the Cabin
Every interior space renovated in this project:
🍳 Kitchen & Laundry Room — fully renovated
🛏 Two Bedrooms — completely updated
🛁 Master Bathroom — fully renovated
🪵 Bonus Room → Bunk Room — built out into a functional bunk room, complete with its own new guest bathroom
🌳 Oak Hardwood Floors — installed throughout
Outside the Cabin
The exterior transformation was just as dramatic:
* Brand new front porch with a completely reconfigured face of the house
* Beautiful cedar screen side porch — the perfect spot to take in the Tennessee outdoors
* Slate and stone side porch
* Brick sidewalk leading up to the home
* Full reroof of the cabin
* Extensive grading and landscape work to finish the property
The Result: Over 100 years of history preserved after only eight months of work. What started as an old hunting cabin is now a comfortable retreat that honors its past while being ready for the next chapter.
