Christensen Builders was founded by Tyler Christensen who has been in the construction industry for over 25 years. Tyler has experience in almost every trade, and he has extensive expertise in home repair, carpentry, framing, deck and patio construction, and roofing. Tyler is a master problem solver, and he is passionate about providing top-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Complete deck rebuild & outdoor upgrade.

This project started with a full tear-down of an aging multi-level deck and turned into a beautiful, low-maintenance outdoor space built to last.

We rebuilt everything using Deckorators Venture composite decking, a great fit for this home with a pool—water resistant, no constant upkeep, just clean and durable.

The transformation includes:
• Multi-level composite deck
• Aluminum railing system
• Integrated deck lighting
• New second-story screen room with a gable roof
• Seamless corrugated metal roofing
• Vinyl-wrapped posts for a clean, finished look
• Exposed cedar trusses with tongue & groove ceiling

We also rebuilt the front porch and coordinated with our friends at on the new vinyl siding to give the entire home a fresh, updated look that ties everything together.

Sincerely thankful for great clients like this. They were wonderful to work with and trusted us to bring their vision to life.

We just helped this homeowner replace an old wooden deck with a poured concrete patio and a full roof-line patio cover designed as a true extension of the home.

The brick and shingles were carefully matched so it looks original—not an add-on. Built to code, engineered for long-term durability, and designed to hold up to Middle Tennessee weather.

From Ordinary to a Relaxed, Jungle-Inspired Retreat 🌿

This bathroom remodel was designed for a client who loves her plants, so we brought the outdoors in.

We added a window for natural light, expanded a small shower into a large walk-in with dark stone-look ceramic tile, added a freestanding tub, and built custom shelves to give her plants a perfect home.

Now it’s a relaxing space with jungle vibes — natural light, lush greenery, and a touch of modern comfort.

We gave this master bath and closet a fresh new look by replacing the old brown floor tile with a beautiful diamond-patterned tile that instantly brightens the space. The shower now features glossy white tile — clean, timeless, and just the right touch of luxury.

It’s amazing how a few material updates can completely change the feel of a room.

Rebuilding it Right – Composite Deck Repair & Upgrade

This homeowner came to us after a previous contractor installed a TimberTech composite deck that unfortunately failed to meet basic structural standards. It was unsafe and not built to code, putting the investment and safety of the space at risk.

We were brought in to rebuild it the right way — from the ground up.

What We Did:

✔️ Replaced all joisting with correct spacing and proper header support

✔️ Installed new footings to code for long-term stability

✔️ Integrated the Trex RainEscape system to create a dry, usable area beneath the deck

✔️ Refurbished existing stairs and installed TimberTech aluminum railing for safety and durability

✔️ Worked directly with the homeowner, HOA, and city to secure permits and approvals

We truly feel for homeowners who have had bad experiences with contractors. It’s upsetting — and unfortunately, far too common. That’s why we go the extra mile to ensure every project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and code compliance.
