With the hazardous air quality affecting all of Michigan, Bioguard recommends a few things to make sure our pools stay clear & clean:
1. Test water more frequently - These contaminates can affect many chemical levels and cause a pool to turn cloudy or green.
2. Clean your filter more often - Wash cartridge filters more often. Keep an eye on the PSI on the glass/sand filters and backwash as needed (backwash when PSI is 8-10 PSI higher than where it normally stays).
3. Use skimmer socks - Skimmer socks will help protect your filter from ash contaminates that are in the air.
4. Use your robotic cleaner more frequently - This ensures the water gets more filtration and keeps the water moving to prevent cloudiness.
5. Raise chlorine levels - This will help sanitize the water and prevent any green or cloudiness.
