YOU MATTER 🩵💜

September is National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month

Whether you have been directly affected by thoughts surrounding su***de or had a loved one face these battles, you are not alone.

Sept. 14th - 18th is Construction Su***de Prevention Week

The construction industry faces some of the highest rates of su***de in our nation, and it comes with little surprise. Subcontractors and construction workers face constant high-stress environments, demanding physical labor, long hours, tight deadlines and budgets, and a consistent tough persona culture.

988 Su***de and Crisis Lifeline is available to everyone as a resource and we encourage anyone who is feeling alone to reach out.

The Bell Porch Addition

Stretching the porch for a little more room to relax, gather, and enjoy while also adding some much needed shade in this Louisiana heat. We added stained tongue and groove wood ceilings, recessed lighting, and treated pine posts to tie this new porch into the existing home.

Casiday Roof Replacement

This home had its roof installed in 2018 while it was under construction and went through one hail storm and two hurricanes without replacement. Although they didn't lose any shingles during these storms, the degradation was evident. Shingles had been delaminated, had granule loss, and seal failure. Normal roof installation lasts roughly 20-25 years under normal wear and tear, these shingles experienced expedited wear and tear that needed to be addressed sooner than later.

We recommend after any extreme storm, whether you lose shingles or not, to get your roof inspected by a third party to ensure that you get your roof replaced while insurance will cover it.

"From Dirt to Keys" 🔑

Interior paint addresses all the surfaces in your home prior to hardware, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, HVAC trim out, and flooring (hardwood, vinyl, and laminate).

Painters meticulously fill nail holes, seams, and cracks while protecting any finishes that are already in place.

While we all want paint to look perfect, we must remember that humans are performing this trade and there will be some imperfections. Standard inspecting for paint guidelines are ~ 3 feet away in natural lighting. This guideline sets the expectations for the painters and for homeowners.

While most of the paint is finished prior to hardware and fixture sets, all homes will receive a final touch up and stamp of approval from its homeowner.

This home is currently 6 weeks from completion and we can't wait to share!

Now booking through November 2026 for any of your project needs.

The last week for these two homes has been busy to say the least.

Closing in on the end of one home with a driveway pour and interior paint.

Finishing up the outside of another with the brick facade and starting the interior with some sheetrock.

"From Dirt to Keys" 🔑

After our cabinet bases are installed, we prefer to get our tile flooring tackled before the interior paint begins. Over the years we've found that installing tile prior to paint allows the painters to pay careful attention to other areas of the home once touch ups begin instead of having to patch and paint any gashes in the wall from the installation of tile.

Although we prefer tile first, it is important to note that not every home may follow this particular timeline. Sometimes tile is backordered and for the sake of keeping the home within the timeline we must move on. This just means that the installers need to be slightly more careful to keep the patches to a minimum.

The home really starts to come together once tile goes down, it's no longer just a sample board. Walking through a tiled room starts to feel like you could actually start living in your home, and it's such an indescribable feeling (Especially if this is your first home that you build).
