Gave the front wall of this house a little face-lift with some new windows, and siding. What a transformation!!!

Fun fact: It is actually one of the oldest houses in the area and actually built of rectangular cut logs dovetailed together in the corners!

Start to finish of our sunroom project we've been working on. The homeowner will br finishing the interior. A unique quality of this project is the permanent wood foundation. I won't lie, I was quite apprehensive to go this route, but it turned out great. Some benefits over concrete are its ability to be done using fewer people, its ability to be insulated all the way to the exterior surface, and if finishing the basement, there is no need for additional framing saving both time and materials.

A little project we finished up a few weeks ago. It definitely tested our cognitive abilities! We increased the original pitch for better shedding of water, and increased curb appeal. The original roof also had a nasty dip in it.

Big thanks to everyone who came to help get this basement floor poured last week! I couldn't have done it with out you!

Our concrete pour turned out great, and we finished up the framing on this project last week. By far the largest shower I've ever framed. That thing could fit a horse! ....At least thats the hopes. Now its up to to the customer to finish it out the rest of the way. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

When you think of your dream home, what comes to mind?

I had this thought this morning taking the kids to daycare. For me, I think it's more about a feeling I'm trying to recreate....the feeling of being in my grandparents living room with the morning sun shining through the big picture window, looking out upon the neighbor's corn field, GMA on the TV, the whole world just spinning a little slower, and being there with all my cousins...a feeling of togetherness. That's what I'm trying to recreate....that's the feeling I want my kids to have when they think of home.
