Anybody who has lived or grown up in an old farmhouse knows that with farming life comes a house with limited storage and an impossible layout for entertaining. This time we headed to Altona, IL, to work on a new construction, modern farmhouse. It was a pleasure bringing so much storage to this beautiful, open concept space. We mixed a combo of Rustic Hickory Rhinohide stain with a dark, rich Regular Hickory Blackberry stain and carried it throughout the house. Joel said he's going to move into the pantry--all the snacks are there!

Our travels took us to Metamora this time for a complete kitchen remodel. We love to see projects complete and our customers happy with their new space. We were doubly thrilled to see the elevated combination of Revere Pewter paint and Cherry truffle stained cabinets come together with the new light and airy countertops. The space became so much bigger and brighter feeling when the wall between the kitchen and the living room was removed to create the all-coveted open concept idea. We have major drawer envy with all of the easy, convenient storage around the cooktop. You might be wondering, but yes...you can have two pull-out spice racks. Especially, if you love to cook!

As we wrap up final loose ends and prepare to close for the year, we want to take a moment to thank all of our customers for their business and for an excellent 2025. We hope as you make your first holiday meals in your new HCK kitchens that you think of us and how much we enjoyed working with you!

We will be closed December 23rd at noon-January 6th to spend time with family and friends. Joel and Abby will return to the office on January 7th. We look forward to new ideas, colors, and trends in 2026. It keeps getting better and better!

HCK delivers again with a stunning remodel in Peoria. Flush inset, quartersawn white oak cabinets in Wheatberry stain. LG Viatera Suprema Carmela countertops and backsplash fabricated by Mette Custom Countertops and installed by Okaw Valley Countertops.

Every HCK cabinet purchase comes complete with either Amerock or Top K***s handles and k***s. The cabinets are pre-drilled meticulously for the hardware, so it takes the guesswork out of aligning the holes perfectly. This saves a lot of time and mistakes. What a difference removing a wall can make in your home renovation! We just completed a stunning remodel in Morton with Kevin Weigand from RK Custom Builders. HCK provided all of the cabinetry, including a custom wood hood design that really elevated and opened up the feel of the cooking space. And we love, love, love it when customers choose super fun colors, such as the pop of this Something Blue painted island. It is complete with a pull-out trash and roll-out shelves, and is the perfect place to sprawl out and make some goodies for the family! Great job to everyone involved!
