Most people see a roof.

We saw structural damage that couldn’t be ignored.

This home in Farragut, Tennessee needed much more than new shingles. Once we removed the old roof, we uncovered damaged decking, deteriorated rafters, fascia issues, and gutter repairs that all needed to be addressed before the new roofing system could be installed.

The finished result is more than a beautiful roof. It’s a home that’s protected from the structure up.

One of my favorite parts of this project was seeing the finished roof from the drone. The roof lines on this home are incredible, and the final result speaks for itself.

It was a late night in Kingsport, so just now getting to post this.

Happy Birthday to Austin Walters !!!

We enjoyed watching him pilot the Roof Guys #5 to a second place finish last night!

It was a fast car and we started on the pole, but handling issues took over after the sun went down. Austin handled it in stride and put on an impressive run keeping her handled coming out of turn 4 every lap. Awesome driver, and an awesome young man!!

🦠 Think you need a new roof? Maybe not.

This homeowner had significant blue green algae growth on the shaded back side of their roof. The valleys between the dormers create an area that stays damp longer because it gets very little sunlight, making it the perfect environment for algae to thrive.

The interesting part? The rest of the roof still looks almost new and has excellent color retention.

🏠 Roof Tip #4: Pay Attention to Wet Areas on Your Roof

During a recent roof inspection, I found an area that was still wet due to shade and moisture from an overhanging tree.

If you notice areas of your roof that stay wet longer than the rest, carefully checking the area for soft or weakened decking can help identify potential problems. Prolonged moisture exposure can contribute to deterioration and, if water is penetrating the roofing system, may eventually lead to costly decking or structural damage.

Periodically checking areas like this can help you catch potential issues early and make sure your roofing system is continuing to protect your home.
