Most people never see this part—but it’s one of the most important things we do on every job 👇

Before anything gets covered up, we pressure test all of our lines to make sure the system is 100% solid.

✔️ Water lines are tested at 160 PSI
✔️ Drain lines are filled and tested with 10 feet of head pressure

Why does this matter?

Because once drywall goes up and concrete is poured, there’s no easy fix. A tiny leak now turns into a massive problem later—water damage, mold, callbacks… all preventable with proper testing.

Why: Supply lines are always under pressure. A leak inside a wall will run constantly, cause mold/structural damage, and spike water bills. You’re proving the system holds pressure before you close it up.

How we do it? ⬇️
Cap all open ends
Pressurize with air or water to static test pressure — typically 1.5x working pressure, so around 100–150 PSI for residential
Hold for 15–30 minutes (some AHJs want longer)
Watch the gauge — any drop = a leak
Air tests are faster to find leaks (you can hear them / use soapy water), but water tests are more definitive and required by some inspectors

Clean installs. Proper testing. No shortcuts.

A service loop on your spigots (hose bibs) might seem like a small detail—but it’s one of those things that separates clean, professional plumbing from rushed work.

Here’s why it matters 👇

1. Prevents stress on fittings
That little extra loop of pipe gives flexibility. Without it, any movement (temperature changes, pressure shifts, someone yanking a hose) puts direct stress on the fitting inside the wall—which can lead to leaks over time.

2. Allows for adjustments during install
Walls aren’t always perfect. A service loop gives your plumber room to position the spigot exactly where it needs to be without forcing the pipe into a bad angle.

3. Easier maintenance & repairs
If something ever needs to be replaced or adjusted, that extra slack makes it way easier to work with—without cutting back into walls or re-running pipe.

4. Helps with freeze protection
In colder temps, that flexibility can reduce stress from expansion and contraction, especially when paired with proper insulation and frost-free hose bibs.
