Backflow failed its test? You've got a clock running.

We replaced two 1½" RPZ assemblies at a local hotel today after both failed certified testing. Old units were 15+ years old with leaking shutoffs, weak relief valves, and no strainers — the kind of shape where a rebuild is throwing good money after bad.

What went in:
• Two new lead-free Zurn Wilkins 975XL2 assemblies with full-port shutoffs built in
• New lead-free wye strainers on both inlets
• New copper on both sides to clean up the makeup

Certified retest coordinated and submitted. Compliant, documented, done.

If your utility sent you a failed test notice or a disconnect warning, don't sit on it. Those repair windows are short and the shutoff is real.
