announces their purchase of Brands Heating and Cooling effective October 1, 2015. The two Morrison businesses have served the area for decades without major changes. (BPI) began serving the Morrison area as Ross V. in the mid-fifties before ownership shifted to Roy Velde in the early 1980's. Current owner, Michael Knott, retained the ownership in 2005, renamed the business Bogott Plumbing, Inc. a

nd moved the business from downtown to east of Morrison on route 30. In 2010 Knott added a Pool Supply Division to the Business and opened a retail store in Fulton , IL that year for Pool Equipment, Supplies, and chemicals. A wide variety of inventory is offered at both location, Fulton and Morrison. In 2012 BPI added a Sewer and Drain Division which offers customers the services of drain/sewer cleaning, jetting, and camera and locate services. Brands Heating and Cooling, the oldest family owned business in Morrison, originated in the early 1920's and the ownership transferred within the family to the most recent owner , John Brands, noting that the move from downtown Morrison to a new facility on east route 30 a few years prior was not a customer friendly move. Michael Knott, owner of Bogott Plumbing, Inc., stated that the two businesses have always had a 'good working relationship' over the years and that adding Heating and Cooling to the already growing BPI Company seemed like a natural decision. The name of the new division is BPI Brands Heating and Cooling. Jon Brands and his son Eric will continue to service all your heating and AC needs. Jon’s wife Barb will be assisting in the office. The office hours are Monday thru Friday from 8-12 and 1-430 at 15273 Bishop Road. Customers calling after hours may leave a message or get the instructions for after hours emergency calls. Customers in need of Plumbing or Sewer Services can reach BPI at 815-772-4024, BPI Pool Supply at 815-772-7874 and Fulton location of BPI Pool Supply at 815-589-3000 and now BPI Brands Heating & Cooling at 815-772-4512

John Brands feels the greatest advantage of the new arrangement is the accessability for the customers to have someone to talk with and assist them with their concerns at a location that is manned daily.. BPI Brands will continue to service an area approx within 25 mile radius of Morrison and assures all that it will only improve the total service experience.

Jeff Maxson joined Bogott Plumbing Inc. just a few short months after it's start in 2005. He had been a long time plumber in the Morrison area before that.

Jeff took care of the start of our residential plumbing business and continued to serve the Morrison and surrounding area for an additional 19 years.

Anyone is welcome to stop by tomorrow Wednesday 7/31 and wish Jeff well. We will be grilling for lunch.

ANNOUNCING THE ADDITION OF JASON ZAAGMAN TO OUR TEAM!!!

Jason Zaagman has joined BPI Companies, Inc. in Morrison. Jason had been in business for himself for 9 years and has been a licensed plumber in Illinois for nearly twice that long. As a small business owner, he struggled to keep staff and was ready for some changes, such as regular working hours, reliable team members, and more time with his wife and children. We are thrilled to have Jason join our team!! Finding experienced help has been a huge challenge for us as well. Together we will be able to help each other. He is licensed in both Illinois and Iowa and is also a certified Backflow tester in the State of Illinois.
