🚨 ⚠️
Colorado’s spring storm this week is another reminder that power outages along the foothills are not going away anytime soon — especially in areas like Evergreen, Conifer, Pine, Morrison, Bailey, and the surrounding mountain communities.

Heavy wet snow, high winds, falling trees, aging utility infrastructure, wildfire mitigation shutoffs, and increased electrical demand are all contributing factors. The reality is that these outages are becoming MORE common, not less.

What makes foothill outages especially difficult:
• Heavy spring snow loads tree limbs and power lines
• Wind events continue year-round in the mountain corridors
• Long utility runs through dense trees are vulnerable to damage
• Remote terrain slows restoration times significantly
• Public safety shutoffs during extreme fire danger are becoming more likely in the future

We are already seeing repeated outages and infrastructure strain across Colorado, and there really is no long-term “relief” coming for mountain communities. Backup power is quickly becoming less of a luxury and more of a necessity.

At Altitude Electric, we specialize in professionally installed whole-home backup generator systems and battery backup solutions designed specifically for Colorado mountain properties and foothill weather conditions.

If you’ve experienced frequent outages or have concerns about future reliability, now is the time to prepare — not after the next major storm.

Stay safe out there this week, Colorado. ⚡❄️🌲
