A big thank you to Ewing Safety and Industrial for stopping by the shop and donating Crescent tools to our program! This will help lower the tool package cost for incoming students. Very much appreciated!

Proud of all our first year Building Trades classes for knocking out another 1st place float build. Shout out to Foundations of Teaching students on making the scarecrow, Mr. Sampson and Ms. Gregoire for providing the blueprints, and all of the programs for representing GAVC during the parade!

Two former students Syed Hamid and Brandon Rentauskas are now working at Waymaker Works, a local company that has partnered with GAVC to give students an opportunity to work in the construction industry. They had a float in the Cornfest parade this year and were nice enough to take a picture with their Building Trades instructors. We are proud of our former students and excited to see their careers continue to grow.

Our first-year students are putting their hands-on training into practice—learning to use new tools and working together to construct something special for the parade. We can’t wait for everyone to see the final result! Be sure to cheer on GAVC at Corn Fest! 🛠️🌽

We are off to a great start for the new school year! Students are working hard installing the rough electric, painting, and installing the siding at the project house. Soon we will be ready for inspections, insulation, and drywall.
