Now that the flu has subsided in my home/office, I can finally Introduce our latest design reveal in Morris County, New Jersey with Michael at 🔥⚒️

The heart of this hillside transformation is a custom Alpine pavilion by which gives us all the room and all the feels we are after!

Beneath the structure, a fully integrated outdoor kitchen pairs with custom fireboxes, a dedicated AV and storage room, and a double-sided open wood-burning stone fireplace that serves as the architectural centerpiece of the entire space. An oversized bar table with seating on both sides ensures there’s always a place to gather, connect, and watch the game (wait until you see the projector!)

Just beyond the pavilion, a sunset patio was intentionally positioned to capture Morris County’s picturesque evening skies — one of the homeowners’ biggest priorities. The layout transitions seamlessly from high-energy entertaining to relaxed evenings by the fire, designed for comfort in every season.

A lakeside outdoor living concept designed for entertaining—bluestone patio and slab stairs, a stone veneer fireplace with integrated fireboxes, bar seating by the fire, and three bold pillars to anchor the long approach and views.

From paper…to pixels…to planted reality.

This Fairy Garden in Mountain Lakes, NJ started as a thoughtfully layered planting plan, evolved into a highly detailed 3D render, and now lives on site exactly as imagined. That’s always the goal for us—designs that don’t just look good on screen, but translate seamlessly into real spaces people can walk through, sit in, and feel.

Huge credit to John Kohut and the team for executing this with such care and craftsmanship. When design (especially with John’s creativity) and installation are aligned, the result speaks for itself.

CLIENT APPROVED ✔️

This design is officially approved and and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s next.

The existing brick terrace was a challenge — so we embraced it. By opening the space and building around it, we added a pergola, outdoor kitchen, bar area, and a new paver patio that connects the entire backyard to the pool and entertainment space.

Can’t wait to bring this one to life.

Proud to share a peek at our latest design collaboration with here in Essex County. This one balances a custom in-ground pool and full bluestone layout with modern detailing, while still keeping that timeless, traditional elegance the home deserves.

Herringbone bluestone accents define the lounge zones, and layered plantings bring year-round interest — from evergreen screening with Green Giants and Southern Magnolias to seasonal color highlighted by Standing Ovation grasses, Deutzia, Allium, Pink Drift Rose, and the always-reliable Incrediball Hydrangea for bright summer moments by the pool.

An inviting new front walkway and a refined outdoor kitchen complete the space, tying the entire property together in a way that feels unified, elevated, and truly custom. Grateful as always for the opportunity to work with such a solid contractor team — this one is now in final client review before heading to the town. Excited to share more soon.

Another beautiful collaboration with , this time in woods of Newton, NJ.

We transformed the back of this home into a connected series of outdoor rooms — a custom fireplace with a mounted outdoor TV, a dining patio, a lounge zone with a dedicated hot-tub pad, bluestone walkways and patio spaces, and layered woodland-inspired plantings that pull the surrounding forest right up to the house.
Framed views, natural materials, and a warm, modern flow from space to space — exactly what this property needed.

Happy Monday everyone!!!

I know I’m terrible at posting consistently, but I’m working on it.
Here’s a recently completed 3D rendering I created for Eleanor of Sparrow & Bramble — someone I’ve admired in this industry for a long time. Getting to collaborate with her on this coastal New Jersey project was a privilege and definitely one of my favorites that I am grateful to be a part of.

This one was all about realism: accurate plant heights, true-to-life features based on her design, and a fully detailed, on-the-water setting that captures the feel of a bayside property. Grateful for the chance to bring her vision to life and help her team present it in the best possible way.

Weekend getaway or design research trip?

Hard to tell 😏

Explored the Breakers, Marble House, and all of Newport’s mansion magic with — soaking in every bit of that Gilded Age detail (for ‘work,’ of course). Bonus: some quality time with my grandparents on the way up ❤️
Feeling inspired, recharged, and maybe slightly obsessed with ornate ceilings and symmetry again.

We’re so excited about this modern design—anchored by a dramatic rain curtain fountain (that sleek black element in the render) and a seat wall that extends into the garden, creating a seamless connection between architecture and landscape.

This is where clean lines meet natural beauty—an outdoor space designed to be as striking as it is functional. Whether you’re enjoying great bbq at the covered kitchen, taking in the sounds of the fountain, or just taking in the garden by the extended seat wall, everyone is still enjoying the space together.

Happy (kinda) first day to my two favorite blonds! .chris_ starts her 20th year teaching HS English in ELIZABETH impressing me each and every year with how she literally changes her students lives and crushes the school year no matter how tiring it is. 5 years, 181 days babe!

My super strong daughter starts in not only a new grade, but a NEW SCHOOL AND NEW TOWN! I can not tell you how excited we are for this new start for her education and just our lives in general. This is what true happiness feels like.

Back to the grind now that Bus duty is done for the morning. Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone!
