Smith Precision Painting LLC is owned and operated by Travis Smith. Travis is a Morgantown native, who truly loves the community in which he has lived his entire life. Travis is a graduate of Morgantown High and subsequently attended West Virginia University. In 2014 he began working as a Morgantown Police Officer. While serving his community as a Police Patrol Officer, he also earned several training instructor certifications. Travis was very passionate about training his fellow Officers to help them perform their job more safely and to aid them in better serving their community. Travis has always enjoyed working construction type jobs, especially painting, which became a trade in which he excelled. In 2021 he founded Smith Precision Painting LLC in order to provide the Morgantown area with highly skilled and exceptionally professional painting services. In January 2022 Travis left employment with the Morgantown Police Department to be dedicated full time to the operation of Smith Precision Painting. Travis prides himself on his dedication to serving his customers and to his attention to detail in his work. Helped a client of Mountain Ridge Realty get their home market ready with some fresh new paint! Always enjoy working with homeowners and realtors to triage what areas need to be fixed up prior to listing. We gave the main areas a fresh coat on the walls, touched up the trim as needed and fixed up some walls in a few other rooms in the house.

Showing off some work at an awesome historic South Park home. Customer really did an awesome job picking out a color that compliments the beautiful woodwork in the living room. Finished the room off by installing a wallpaper accent wall to add a fun pop of color!

Okay, with the weather this weekend I'm officially declaring it to be SPRING!!!

With that said, everyone is coming out of hibernation and starting their spring projects. This is always a busy time of year for painters. Get ahead of the rush, contact me soon to get an estimate and get scheduled!

And as always, feel free to reach out even for other projects like exterior painting, deck staining or other such things that I don't handle. I have a network of trustworthy painters that I send referrals to when my schedule is full or it is something that I don't typically handle. Nothing better than a fresh paint job right before you move into your new home! This customer was thrilled to see difference a couple coats of paint made. We freshened up the ceiling, took the dingy contractor beige to a beautiful, crisp white and then added a few pops of color here and there to make this new house the start of a home!

You know, I do enjoy these little one room jobs. Customer was having office furniture scheduled to be delivered soon and wanted to get the walls painted before the room filled up. I was able to wiggle her into my schedule for a quick turn around and accommodate her timeline.

Customers choose an awesome color palate, coordinated with their furnishings to create a uniquely beautiful home. A wallpaper accent wall with a bold color choice in the half bathroom is something that is sure to impress anyone who visits. Love painting projects like this one!

Unique painting jobs call for painters with exceptional knowledge and that's what Smith Precision Painting is here for! Travis has studied with master craftsman in Europe for situations just like this.

Our customer loved their fireplace but the color of it just didn't match the rest of the house. Redoing a fireplace facade is a very messy and expensive task. They called asking if I had any ideas on how we could make their fireplace look brighter and have the color fit better with their decor. Well, it just so happened that I knew precisely what was needed.

A lime based paint was selected for the stone so the paint could embed into the stone and retain a natural look. A custom palate of multiple shades of warmer and lighter gray was made on site using lime resistant, natural pigment. This allowed for subtle variations in color to be achieved. Colors were blended together on the stones and highlights added here and there to mimic nature.

To tie everything together the mantle was gel stained with a dark stain to make it a wonderful dark accent piece. All in all this was a super fun, project with a very happy customer at the end.
