DAVIS MEMORIAL FOUNDATION: Apply Today for a $2,500 SkillsUSA Grant - Application Due 9/25/26
THE ROOFING INDUSTRY IS A PROUD PARTICIPANT WITHIN THE SKILLS USA COMPETITION
The Western Roofing Contractors Association's (WSRCA) scholarship foundation, The Davis Memorial Foundation, is committed to providing funding to encourage the next generation to join the roofing industry. By helping students compete in roofing competitions at the SkillsUSA national event every year, this regional roofing contractor association is helping to encourage young professionals to show their roofing skills in an annual competition. The goal is to bring roofing skills to a new generation of construction professionals.
With a goal of funding vocational schools, community colleges, and high schools to send students not only to national competitions but also support regional and local competitions, the Davis Memorial Foundation is proud of this grant opportunity for schools who are supporting SkillsUSA competitors. Focusing on commercial roofing installation, this grant is meant to help schools bring roofing competitors to the national SkillsUSA competition which is part of the National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC).
ELIGIBILITY
Eligible schools will apply to receive up to $2,500 to assist competitors in attending the SkillsUSA National Competition. Two grants will be awarded yearly to two different schools. Grant funds will be remitted directly to the school and will only be used to fund roofing related competitions, namely the national competition. Recipients of grant funds must agree to use the funds for reasonable and appropriate costs of travel, lodging, and the cost of registration for the NLSC, as described in the online application. Applications will be accepted until September 25, 2026.
