Yesterday, we had the opportunity to support That's My Child as a hole sponsor at their 6th Annual Golf Tournament!

That’s My Child is a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering Montgomery’s youth through mentorship, arts, education, and workforce development, helping create brighter futures for the next generation.

We were glad to be part of an event supporting such an important mission! Thank you to all of our GMHBA members who came out and participated!

GMHBA has been a proud supporter of Beauty by Fire Ministries, a ministry devoted to serving widows and their minor children by meeting their spiritual, emotional, and practical needs while sharing the love of Christ.

When we learned of a widow in our community who was in desperate need of a new roof, our members didn’t hesitate to step up and help!

The project was spearheaded by Gray Arnone of Lowder New Homes, who brought together an incredible team to make it happen.

A huge thank you to SRS Roofing Supply and CertainTeed for generously providing materials, and to our rockstar member, Dusty Young of Young Brothers Roofing, who brought his crew out and installed the entire roof at absolutely no charge!

This is what makes our Association so special. Our members don’t just build homes — they build relationships, support one another, and make a difference in the communities we serve.

We couldn’t be prouder of these members and their willingness to give back. Thank you for using your time, talents, and resources to make a difference in someone’s life! ❤️

When we talk about members who truly show up for GMHBA, Chris and Madgie Lashlee are a perfect example!

Their support of our Association spans four member companies — Lashlee Trucking, Inc., Froggy Bottom Growers, Froggy Bottom Materials, and Landscape Contractors LLC — but their involvement goes far beyond membership.

Chris has been involved with GMHBA for more than 15 years, dating back to the days when he volunteered his time and talents to landscape our Home Expo. For the past two years, Chris and Madgie have also sponsored our first membership meeting of the year — always one of GMHBA’s most well-attended events!

Madgie is always willing to jump in wherever she’s needed. She serves on our Associate Committee and Professional Women in Building Council and is a familiar face volunteering at GMHBA events throughout the year.
And they’re at it again! Next week, Froggy Bottom will be providing the pumpkins for the pumpkin patch at our YP Hardhats & Hayrides event.

Chris and Madgie, thank you for the many ways you continue to support GMHBA. We appreciate your membership, your involvement, and most of all, your willingness to always pitch in and help make our Association better!
