Please like and share the signup for this great program! In the 70s I learned to speak Spanish by working with men that would be my life long friends. This has opened doors for me my entire life and I am so proud my grandson is in this program. I want my grand daughter to have the same benefits.

🌟 Exciting Opportunity for Incoming Kindergarten Families! 🌟

Montgomery ISD has reopened applications for the 2026-27 Two-Way Dual Language Program. The program is offered at Montgomery Elementary School and is available to all eligible incoming Kindergarten students whose native language is English.

Students in the program have the opportunity to become bilingual and biliterate while developing strong communication skills, enhanced literacy, and valuable skills that can benefit them in college, careers, and life.

✅ Complete Kindergarten enrollment first

The district will review applications and enrollment numbers to determine whether sufficient participation exists to establish a 2026-27 Kindergarten cohort that supports the Two-Way Dual Language model. Families will be notified of the program's status and next steps after the review process is complete.

In honor of D day share your WWII veterans in the comments. This is my father, Eddie F. Heintz who was in the DDay invasion and landed on Normandy beach. He was wounded in France and walked with a limp for the rest of his life. We thank them all for their service.

Anybody recognize these outlaws? Ms. Ima Gene Geisinger’s class in the second grade. She had her hands full. I fist fought John Hyatt every day. He lived on the Willie Weisinger place where bentwater now sits.

Mr. Norman Branch. Pitched for the Yankees 41-42 and was Montgomery’s mailman when I was little in around 58. I was blessed to have him as a mentor as my little league baseball coach. I remember him holding me in the post office and saying “Now Markey, after you hit that home run, how are you going to run around the bases with your shoes untied?” Then he taught me to tie my shoes. I was about 5 years old.
