The smaller the bee, the smaller their foraging range, which likely means this tiny bee hatched and grew up right here in my front yard. 😭😭

Ahhhh, I finally caught some of my Virginia Creeper in bloom! The flowers are so tiny, they're easy to miss. What alerted me is the absolute CLOUD OF BEES hanging out on it 😂😂😂 🐝🐝🐝
I'm grateful at least that as the VC is slowly absorbing my house within its miles of vine, at least the bees will be well fed. 🙏🍻 🎉

I rarely recommend native seeds to people because a lot of them are finicky as heck and require things like keeping them in a fridge for 3 months or pouring boiling water on them.

But not these!!! Lanceleaf Coreopsis germinate easily around here and once they are established require little water and will continue to reseed themselves and pop up in new places.

The ultimate low effort native plant 🙌

If you are one of those magical creatures known as an ✨EARLY BIRD✨ then these plants will be ready and waiting for you at the curb market on Saturday morning:

Swamp Sunflower
Lanceleaf Coreopsis
Common Yarrow
Purple Lovegrass
2 Moon Vines (the sign lies, these ones are only $5)

And then around 10am I'll shuffle in with some more plants. 🤣 Probably more Rattlesnake Master, and maybe a new baby Scarlet Rosemallow Hibiscus! 🌺 🌺🌺
