Phase 2 is complete!
This phase included a natural flagstone walkway, a French drain, and a catch basin to solve ongoing drainage issues.
During excavation, we found the existing downspout drains were crushed, clogged with roots and sediment, and had no proper discharge point. We removed the damaged sections, tied the existing downspout drains into a new catch basin, and installed a separate French drain alongside them to collect groundwater. Both systems discharge into the basin, where the water is carried away through a new solid outlet pipe.
The finished result is a beautiful natural flagstone walkway paired with a drainage system built to last. Together with the retaining wall and gravel fire pit area completed in Phase 1, the entire project comes together as one cohesive outdoor space that's both functional and built for years of enjoyment.
